Ed Epp – Executive Director
Ed has worked in International Development for over 25 years, beginning with community based development in China, Jordan, and Lebanon; regional based management in the Middle East; global management as Director International Operations, and executive management as Vice President Resource Development and Executive Director. During that time Ed worked in three organizations – Mennonite Central Committee (1984-1998 as community worker, country representative, Middle East Program Director), Mennonite Economic Development Associates (1998-2009 as Director International Operations, Director Strategic Planning, Vice President Resource Development), and currently for cbm Canada (2009 to present as Executive Director).
He has been active in partner development, programs with a disability focus, agricultural and economic development including microfinance, and peace and justice. Ed was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Jill Bartley – Director, Organization Development
Jill is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with 20 years of experience in management, leadership, human resources and organizational development within a variety of industries. She currently commits 30% of her working time supporting the International HR function of cbm.
Jill received a Graduate Certificate (Honours) in Human Resources along with a certificate in Business Management Studies. She is certified by Workitect in their approach to Competency Model Building and in Advanced Competency Modeling. Jill is a qualified facilitator for the Leadership Challenge, certified by International Leadership Associates. She is also a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner; (Step 1 & Step 2). Most recently, Jill received certification in HR Law for HR Professionals from Osgoode Hall Law School was recognized by George Washington University as a Balanced Scorecard Professional.
Beth Jost-Reimer – Communication and Marketing Director
Since earning her Masters of Arts and English Literature at the University of Waterloo, Beth has worked for cbm Canada for 25 years in their Marketing and Communications Department. As writer, direct mail manager, and now director of marketing and communications, her job and her passion has been to connect people here in Canada with children and families half way around the world – watching life transformation happen on both sides of the impact equation. She’s travelled extensively throughout Africa (and less extensively in Asia and Latin America) hearing and recording the voices and faces of families set free from the cycle of poverty and disability.
Mitch Wilkie – International Programs Director
Mitch is an experienced leader having gained extensive experience working across both the public and private sectors. His work experience features roles in economic and international development, partnership and network-building, strategic planning, project management, marketing, Gift in Kind and communications initiatives that included diverse and complex programs.
He holds a Master of International Management degree from the University of St. Thomas plus diplomas in the field of International Business Management and Trade. He has also worked with Economic Development in various locations within Canada.
Mitch has lived and worked in China, and has worked on projects extensively in Russia, Poland, Moldova, Jordan, Paraguay and others. He has managed, monitored and evaluated multiple CIDA sponsored Projects.
